What to Expect at Vibrant Health Solutions During Your First Appointment
Arriving at our clinic is similar to any medical office visit. Our entire team is here to answer your questions and make the process a positive experience. Here’s what you can expect:
- Upon arrival, register at the front desk. We’ll ask for your insurance information and any other paperwork you may have brought (e.g., referral, X-ray or MRI reports, and other medical documents).
- You’ll then have your initial evaluation with one of our case managers. They’ll thoroughly review your medical history and current pain, illness, or injury. Please be open and honest; we’re here to listen and understand your concerns to provide the best solution!
- Next, our nurse practitioner will conduct a physical examination to evaluate your range of motion, strength, and movement patterns.
- Pain Assessment: Discuss the pain’s location, intensity, duration, and factors that affect it.
- Musculoskeletal Examination: Check for tenderness, swelling, range of motion, and muscle strength.
- Neurological Examination: Assess nerve function, including reflexes, sensation, and motor strength.
- Functional Assessment: Evaluate how pain impacts daily activities and quality of life.
- Psychosocial Assessment: Understand the emotional and psychological impact of pain, including stress, anxiety, and depression.
- Review of Medical History: Examine past medical records, treatments, and medications related to pain management.
- Based on your evaluation, we’ll develop a therapy plan tailored to your needs. Our team will explain the findings and provide information, education, and some treatments to relieve pain, improve mobility, and start your recovery. Each session will build on this initial evaluation to maximize the impact of your therapy.
- We’ll also discuss your goals and, based on clinical experience, determine the duration and frequency of your sessions. Our Lawrence, KS team will document their findings and treatment plans, which can be shared with any medical expert you choose. The goal of our treatments is to help you recover quickly and achieve lasting results.
- Before leaving, you’ll schedule your remaining sessions at the front desk.
